Biggest issue is when a lot of guys are in the system at once: (and sometimes its not a great thing to have tons of picks in any single year):

Theres only so many coaches and so much icetime and maybe without the right vets almost half of these guys wont develop/hit their potential.

Great pipeline sure, but without the coaching/icetime they wont develop. They look good in juniors/overseas in different programs, but when they all hit AHL/NHL at the same time, management needs to start cherry picking who's going to get the coaching and icetime.

I think sabres should trade some assets and picks this draft to select twice in the top 10. and once at 25... Trade from 16-9 and add some prospects later picks... Then draft a forward, and Nemec or Jiricek... That would be the bomb.

Or find some quality "mid-aged" talent from some clubs that might have cap issues for picks or midlevel prospects. Guys who arent old or overpaid who can shoulder some of the load and lead while the youngsters get their feet wet, and still be in Buffalo in all liklihood when some of these youngsters start to hit their stride.

And maybe a bad example, by no means is PHI in bad cap space (once they move JVR even at a loss they have plenty of money and space to re-sign all their guys and giroux and ristolinen), but an example of a quality mid-aged guy is like a 25 yr old Travis Sanheim or a 24 yr old LW Strome from CHI.

You both make good points about the coaching, picks and prospect development.
A couple of thoughts:
Let me give you credit BuFfaLOFaN for making a total team.
I think it was wise to not include possible TDL trades as we will not know their value until the TDL.
I think the future is bright with the current pipeline but with 3 first round picks and multiple later picks it appears to be even better.
Let's give management credit for not bringing up any of Quinn, Peterka, Laaksonen, or Samuelson when injuries hit the team.
Granato has certainly squeezed the most of his thin NHL roster and I would imagine he will do the same with the prospects.

I think at the TDL he will bring them up...OR if they are crushing it leave them in the AHL to win the Calder cup and come up all together next year. Do think their is an over abundance of forwards so might need to trade some of the prospects IF they are all actually NHL ready, very hard to guess

I agree, I just hope they do not play 10 NHL games.
Only Krebs and Samuelsson have exceeded that, let them play for the Calder Cup, Utica looks really strong this year.
I like the team that Karmanos built, much better than the lame effort of Adams last year.
Just a couple of predictions:
Hagg to Islanders, Butcher to Penguins, Caggiula or Hinostroza to Avalanche or Wild, Miller to Leafs.
Islanders need LHD, Pens need help on the PP, Aves and Wild need help with the PK and Leafs have only 2 RHD.
If they all continue to produce as they have through the first quarter of the season we will all be surprised at the return.
Regardless, the future is bright, but I thought it was looking good back in 2014 as well with Ristolainen, Zadorov, McNabb, McCabe, Reinhart, Compher, Fasching, Possler, Bailey, Baptiste, Armia, Girgensons, Grigorenko, Larsson, Enroth and 3 first round picks in 2015.
I bolded every one who was among ESPN top 100 prospects https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/2dd2uj/espns_top_100_prospects_insider_only_list_in/
Only Girgensons is still with Buffalo, all of the defensemen are in the NHL just not with Buffalo.
