Dubas will claim him and sign him to a 2yr extension worth 2.5 and play him on the top line and PP most likely

I'd have to think that the Devils would have interest in picking him back up. We've been shuffling through 4th line players all season and he's a guy that can slide right in obviously because he was there the past few years

Bastian really has not impressed. Once Mikheyev comes back really has no spot and takes up a contract spot

Why? He doesn't produce as much, he doesn't move the puck as well, he doesn't penalty kill, etc. His metrics are worse across the board. He's basically just another teams trash who you want to fit better but probably won't.

Based on what? Make an argument for this.

Well the numbers disagree with the eye test, why is that?

Numbers? I use what I see with my two own eyes. Remember Cody Ceci? His numbers were amazing as a Leaf, which is why Dubas defended him a lot

And look at Ceci now, he just got off a successful season and is putting up good results again. But you are getting away from the point, you can't answer the question 'why?' in relation to your feelings about Engvall.

Eye test is how you came to that conclusion, not why. What did you see when watching Engvall that makes you think a waiver claim will perform better?
