Devon Toews is so underrated and his contract is so good.

I think CBJ would rather keep Robinson. He’s one of our best B6 forwards.

Trading Toews short of a massive haul is a massive mistake, he should be a permanent fixture in the Avs top 4. His play and Byram’s are why BS rumors about Girard began.

Definitely. I'd want a LOT back for him and several teams would pay it. If it came down to it, I'd rather keep him and trade Sammy, as much as it pains me to say it.

He’s great but I do think we have a log jam at wing. Especially bottom 6 guys. Robby may have to be moved to make room for guys like foudy and others coming up. Unless we move out others like foudy bemstrom nyquist etc.

Picking up someone like Jost does not relieve the logjam. And I'm not sure if Maltsev would be much of an add to the system in any case. I suppose it's not impossible Robinson gets moved, but he's not really casually expendable.

True, I was more commenting to moving on from Robby vs this package. If we were to move him it would not be for this package. I should have clarified.

Its just my feeling, but I think Foudy/Bemstrom could likely be better trade assets than Robinson. Robinson is older, but he’s a bit more settled as a B6, and I love his style of play.

Foudy and Bemstrom are guys I do not want to see wasting away with 4th line minutes, so I’d rather trade them outright, or use them to sweeten another trade.

While they are better assets I would argue foudy is going to be an ideal bottom 6 type guy. Super fast, scoring, defensively responsible guy. Should get 30 points playing 15 mins a night. Robby is hot right now. I just don’t see him keeping his current scoring touch through December. He’s no Josh anderson where he has the hands that sometimes keep up with his skating. Key word sometimes.
