Description
Ranger fans - I used you team as a reference - but I've heard from your fan base that you don't need Chariot... but anyway. I still love you guys if you decide to flame me.

Flame trade:

you guys want to acquire Toffoli and you will need cap space : here is a trade offer where you get to keep a 2nd C for cheaper, get Lucic's contract off the books - and get Toffoli for Coronato and a 2nd (which is pretty decent - the prospect could be tweeked)
Trades
1.
MTL
  1. 2022 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
a late first (or middle of the pack second) + a B+ prospect (but not one that is very known - like Danault was back in the day)

Rangers, Islander, Oilers - any contending team looking for a playoff LHD.

I think Coronato has very quickly become untouchable, he's been great at Harvard so far and fills in a role the Flames are severely lacking. Zary, Pelletier, MEP all on the table for sure, Coronato could be the best prospect the Flames have drafted in a long time though.

respect the tidbit that it doesn't have to be the rangers, but in no way will Chiarot get a 1st round pick. You are probably looking at a 3rd rounder.

Problem with Lucic is he has 2 years on his deal still. I don't mind selecting like Zary but think you need to add a 2nd or 3rd as well from Calgary for taking back Lucic and downgrading the prospect from Coronoto.

There is a pretty good chance he returns a 1st simply because of what he brings in post-season play as well as lack of other options. Supply and demand has a large effect at the deadline
MTLaveragefan and Marchy6363 liked this.

I think I could live with that amendment.

Honestly, the idea of getting Dvorak and Toffoli is absolutely something I'd like to happen. The only hang-up for me is what it does for our cap next year.

With the season JG, MT, and AM are having I feel like we need their extensions sorted (one way or another) before we go shopping at the deadline.

If it looks like we're going to lose 1 or more of that three then Tre would probably make this deal in a heartbeat, then try and move those players that aren't extending before July 1.

Gaudreau is the only one Calgary can loose, the other 2 have to sign with the Flames (or an OS that Calgary can still match)

Chiarot will not be the best defenseman on the market at the deadline, And post-season play? He had 2 points and -6 in 22 games and was a negative possession player.. not sure what you are getting at but if that's the price for Chiarot the rangers should definitely unload Nemeth for the same.

He's got 4 goals... so your statement is false from the get go...

He plays 27min a night in the playoffs... where he can get away with a lot more physicality.

I was clearly talking about post season play last year. He’s such a negative possession player, it doesn’t matter how you try to spin it. He’s simply not good.
