you have to trade drouin elsewhere and have that team buy him out. otherwise if the habs do it they can't re-sign him.

Would probably be viewed as attempted cap circumvention even if they trade him and resign him after another team bought him out

The problem with the Sabres trading Okposo is the same with us moving Skinner…..
we NEED their big Cap hits to get to the floor,
so it’s pretty unlikely that we’d move either

Canes are very unlikely to trade Raanta for Allen. Raanta has been playing amazing when he is in the net, and he is more than a capable backup. Allen may be better in the long run, but he is looking like a pile of garbage this season. Canes are fine with running Freddie with the workload, and Raanta has been performing well enough that if he does get injured again, we will be fine if Lyon has to play a couple of games.
