It’s true Hughes was very small, and I think they should’ve waited a year to bring him up, but I still think he could have gotten more points. I like the guy, and I think he will be good, just thought he should’ve been better out of the gates. And I could be too harsh on him! I agree Zegras was late, and yes he is a very good player. I like in the end, LA would’ve hoped that they drafted Zegras over Turcotte. Caufield is going to be good, don’t get me wrong, but he should’ve been producing more already as he was rated super highly. The thing I don’t like about Caufield and this can just be me, but he is a goal scorer. If he can’t score, he’s near useless. He is too small to throw the body, is lazy defensively… not a fan of his game, aside of his goal scoring ability. Holloway has it all. He can play a whole 2-way game, has a very good shot, and kind of plays like Hyman. I like how gritty he is when he is on the ice, and the speed! Man he is fast, and his hand are good.

I would agree that Caufield has a lower floor since he is more goal-dependent to play in NHL. But his playmaking can be underrated...and at times that is what separated him at Wisconsin. I think he proved there he wasn't only goal-dependent, or for some critics, Hughes-dependent, to produce.

Our #2 and #3 centres got injured. And we were playing with a bottom 4 of Zaitsev, Del Zotto, Mete and Josh Brown . Matt Murray also sucks. No wonder the Sens are bad haha

Now that’s a trade I bet you they would like to reverse. Murray is very bad, and they are paying him a ton! And that bottom 4 sucks! It’s always bad when a teams 2,3c gets injured. Hopefully they can come back soon, and you will play better. Murray sucks, but I wonder how he would be if he had a better bottom 4 to play behind.

Definitely! He just doesn’t have the defence and gritty game like Holloway. And he’s so small that he can’t hit much. We will see in end who is better, but right now I’m saying Holloway.

They’re 2 opposite players. Isn’t Holloway supposed to be a Brady Tkachuk

Dorion loves drafting size which is why Slafkovsky and Geekie are probably high on his list. But size doesn’t necessarily mean skill lol. I just want the Sens to draft a forward with 70pt potential

Take skill in the first. Grab a Gaucher or Lutz for some oompf in 2nd.
If you a Brady-esque player, McGroarty seems closest of the guys I know.

We need any centre or wing that has 70pt potential , ideally a sniper, but dual threat is fine too

Yes they are. Holloway is like a Zach Hyman, and kinda like a Brady Tkachuk. They will both be good, but in the end, I see Holloway being the better player. Also, Caufield needs to play in the top 6 in order to not get a career ending injury, and to produce more. Holloway can play anywhere, and is a center man.

Sounds like you need Ivan Miroshnichenko, but he is risky because he is Russian, and you know about Russians. And you don’t know how good they will be in Canada. It’s a medium risk, high reward. I don’t think he will be as good as Matvei Michkov, but he will be good. Do you want a guy that’s NHL ready? He won’t be.. I think he will go to Russia for a year. And look at Kaprizov, they can whine and go to Russia for millions if they are good. They are a type of players that are a little risky to take.

Miroshnichenko isn’t playing in the KHL right? I’d rather Wright, Savoie or Kemell tbh. Some ppl are worried about Geekie’s skating but I would pick him too after those guys or Cooley

Correct. He is in the VHL, and played a game in the MHL this year. How many are there is Russia? You can’t have Geekie as he is getting passed all the way to Seattle. Same as Savoie is going to Edmonton. It’s the new rule haha. Wright would of course be the one you would want, but if you don’t get first overall, there are a lot of players that are very good to choose between. What happened to Lambert? I don’t see him very high in the draft now.

Lambert had a good world juniors last year but his production in Liga isn’t good. Haha the brothers thing. Then Matthew Tkachuk should be in Ottawa

Haha, oh oh! Calgary isn’t going to like it, but if teams pass up Savoie like they have to, I think Tkachuk can go to Ottawa. Of course the brothers have to play together haha! I didn’t know that about Lambert. Hopefully he can bounce back because he is a good player. But Jack Hughes should get passed to New Jersey’s pick. They are not related last time I checked, but it could be Jack Hughes to Jack Hughes, to Luke Hughes! And soon to Quinn Hughes. Hughes to Hughes to Hughes to Hughes ahah!

It was fun talking to you man! Didn’t realize we went into the second page! The brothers thing needs to happen haha. Ottawa will get a good forward this draft, if they get Wright they will be crazy good in a few years! Take it easy and have a good one.
