If the Leafs were to ever acquire Hertl there's no chance he's on the third line. Also this is nowhere close to Hertl's value. Leafs would need to give up an insane amount of value for him btw.

I want to point out that this post is not meant to be taken seriously incase feelings get hurt because the trade is not 'realistic'. Its just a joke and a pun, obviously Hertl isn't a third line player but he along with Kampf and Kase are all from the Czech Rep. so yeah.. Czechmate 3rd Line. Get it?

Also, if this trade were to magically happen, Mikheyev is complaining about not getting enough minutes so that is why he would be placed on the second line, and Kerfoot is Kerfoot so Leafs wouldn't make him a fourth liner. This is all just play on words but I felt I had to make the numbers and contracts work so that's why its Richie being traded and not a combination of other players.

I guess I assumed that anyone obsessed with Toronto...either with love or with hate...would have seen the many articles that relentlessly point out the fact that those 2 new Maple Leafs are Czechs, are really building a great friendship and love being on the same team together. It was Hertl who I had thought was German but with the title of the AGM quickly clued in what nation he was from. I might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but I found it very obvious.

Anyway, no reason for me to get serious on such a silly AGM done in good humour by @TheWomper Anyway, I hope the team your a fan of wins all their games this year...except against the Leafs...
