It’s pretty easy tbh. Start with a team that has a lot of high value players. Try to suck the first year , then at the draft flip those elite players for 1-2 1st round picks sometimes 3 depending on the player. Also a hack, sometimes the player’s stock drops right after getting picked by a team. So let’s say sometimes trading at the draft for the player that got picked 3rd is easier than trading for pick #3 before the player gets picked. Also sign all the good free agents the year after and trade them for 1sts the year after. And try to tank both years. Keep your young players in juniors and the AHL for 2 years

Do you have salary cap turned on? This is a good team, and some players are probably making a lot! You only have one player from Ottawa….

My team is Seattle btw. And yes salary cap is turned on. But what I do is I keep them in the AHL for a few years , then their salaries are still low and I give them 8 year contracts at lower AAVs cuz they haven’t established themselves yet. It’s a tactic

Ah, we have a smart guy right here… haha. That is smart though, I didn’t even think about doing that. That’s a lot of solid prospects! Good job! I didn’t think you would be able to pick guys that can bring that much from other teams, but then again, we are talking about computer GMs… they leave the weirdest players unprotected.
