      Just using for extra information:
      ANA
Radulov contract - Pay high cap hit but less term. (7.75 x 2/3 years IMO) Better than having to pay 6M for a 35+ player not worth his contract. We can't afford to lose him but we can't afford to give him more then 4 years either. Make one of the highest paid players in the league but only for a few more years while he is still a impact player.

        Rumour - 4-5M for 6-8 years or 6-8M for 2-4 years .

        ******

Markov contract - Give him the high cap but not the term. There aren't any big name free agents that we can get anyway so we don't need the cap this year. We need the extra space next year though for Price and potentially way better free agents.

        Rumor - 3-4M for 2 years or 5.75 for 1 year.

        ******

Beaulieu contract - Business as usual. Not convinced enough to keep him long term so bridge that deal again. May 3M but not longer than 2/3 years.

        No rumors

        ******

Galchenyuk contract: Just pay the man! The point is to sign him as long as possible. Chucky is not the player we should be squeezing to get every drop out of. We have zero in the pipeline when it comes to centerman. Without him we're completely screwed at center. Just get it done.

Comparables - Monahan, Scheifele, Barkov, Forsberg.

        ******

2017 Entry draft: DRAFT THE BEST CENTERMAN AVAILABLE FFS!

Suzuki is under sized but he is sick. Great hands and can shoot the puck himself. Not always looking to set up. he can be the scorer.

Reedy is a solid two way center who should probably be mid second round if we're lucky.

Frost is a slick play making centreman.

Pratt is a winger but he's got size and can score.

Hm, interesting ideas but still not a contender.

        1. Your cap raise would be fine, but I think the cap will be around $74 million.
        2. The Vegas "draft" would be nice but I think, Vegas won´t do this one.
        3. Markov for one more year is ok, but only between $5 and $5.25 million
        4. The Radulov signing is extremly high, I accept the length of the contract but at least $1 million cheaper. I personally would prefer a 4 year deal between $5.75 and $6.25 million.
        5. The Beaulieu deal is ok.
        6. I´m not sure, if Galchenyuk would sign this contract. 6 for 6 would be signed but I believe, he will request about $6.5 for your 8 year contract.

The problems are that the Habs still won´t have a real top 2 LHD (I´m not sure, if Jordie Benn really can play top D pairing minutes), another top 6 center and a second line left winger.

        1) Fine - I just put whatever. Doesn't change anything.

        2) If they don't take this they'd be pretty ignorant. Their best option other wise would be Davidson and this deal would not only help them replace what Davidson would give them next year but give them a solid prospect and a second rounder for nothing. If MTL was like Anaheim and had a bunch of good players exposed, then yeah maybe not but Vegas won't have very much to choose form with MTL so I couldn't fathom them not taking this. Emelin for all his misfortune is still an NHL regular type player with only one year left. Not much risk there.

        3) Fine. That's pretty much what he'd get I just over estimated for the sake of over estimating.

        4) What happens when he says ok thanks but no thanks and leaves? So now we don't have Radulov and we don't have any good players capable of replacing his offense unless we can get Oshie but I doubt it. People keep mentioning its too much or this or that but honestly, Radulov has all the power here. MTL can't afford to lose him and can't afford to sign him for what he's going to get on the free agent market. This deal would allow us to keep him for the years that he'll still be effective and not be a burden on the team when he's 35 and can't skate anymore. How much are really losing here? 1-2M max? Consider it the Parenteau buyout money being put to a good cause.

        5) Yup.

        6) I gave you comparables marc. How does he get more then all those guys who have produced more then he has? It doesn't make any sense. He has nothing to prove he's worth more then those guys, only enough to porve he's roughly in their range. The only centres who have got 6.5M for more than 5 years are guys like Kopitar, Toews, Stamkos, etc. Galchenyuk can ask for it if he wants but even he knows he would never get that.

Marco, what will be your protection list and would you sign Radulov before or after the expansion draft?

2.) The problem for Vegas will be, they will get several similar offers from other GM´s. And I´m sure, they will not have the cap space to take them all and I be afraid that this offer might be not enough.
4.) Ok, I would rise the 4 year deal up to $6.5 maybe even $6.75 million
6.) Hm, this is the same problem Habs had with P.K. Subban. Why was he signed for $9 million per year, one year earlier Letang signed for $7.25 million per year. If someone offers such things, they have to accept that the other guys want to be payed. I really like your Galchenyuk contract, but in the past, MB made some really scary contracts.

The protection list is hard to say, too much can change from now till the draft. Chances are our lists are all pretty darn close to the same though. We shouldn't lose any major player.

        2) yes i agree but the thing is those teams are offering players like Dustin Brown or Benoit Pouliot or whoever. Those guys have long term contracts that run for a minimum of 2 more years. Emelin is for only one more. In terms of risk/reward they have way less to worry about with a guy who has one year left over a guy who signed long term still.

        4) If Radulov is wanting a minimum of 4 years and nothing else than fine I guess. If he's willing to go 3 years or even 2 years I'd be more than willing to give him a high cap contract because right now given the free agent market and how much guys like Duchene cost, we don't need the cap space so why not use it on a player like Radulov who has at least 2-3 more good years ahead of him. At 35, Radulov will be slow and not worth 6.5M I guarantee it.

        6) Not the same at all marc. Subban turned in a Norris type season. Galchenyuk scored 30 goals once and hasn't been able to lock down the center position. Big difference. One player had huge negotiating rights while the other didn't. Subban had reason to go higher than everyone else, Galchenyuk doesn't.

When Marco explains it. It all makes senses. You could quibble a mil or year here or there, but so what. Seems like a fit for the Habs.
