    Thompson really C1?

I though it would be Cozens C1 and Thompson C3

Tage Thompson is the best player in the NHL.

okay okay, I saw like two of his shifts the other day and he looked solid otherwise have seen much else so didn’t know

Thought Cozens was the C1 of the future and Thompson was looking more like a bust, at least last I heard or saw anything about it

I do not really like the use of Krebs on the line with Zemgus and Okposo, but it is difficult to understand who is superfluous here, maybe there will be some kind of trade, and Asplund is now playing with Zemgus.

just trying out new lines and trying to protect the kids by playing them with solid 2 way players

Basically it used to be that way, but Granato put it in the center and it blossomed. Cozens may still be a 1C in the future, or a good 2C, but it is still young and still evolving.

If I'm a Sabre fan or Sabre player, I would be pissed that Sabres waste 7m on cap minor leaguer Connnelly and LTIR Ferland, and still 17m have in cap space. Spend some cap at least on short term UFAs that make the team better.

Why would we care? We have to be cap compliant.

I would be angry if Krebs, Quinn or peterka played in the minors again and burned another ELC year there so we could overpay random UFAs

We should be looking to overpay a 1 or 2 year good player over acquiring a lesser player on a larger contract in order to reach the floor next year

I'm not willing to do that at the expense of burying guys in the AHL
