Description

Saw the Canes have called the Stars on Klingberg. This was about the only thing I could think of…expiring UFA for cost certainty?

I’m not sure how it would work…

Klingberg even as a rental has a fair bit more value than Skjei

I’m not doubting this, but trying to understand how Klingberg to the Canes could actually work.

Pesce has a history of playing the left side (played left side with Faulk in 2019), and I know the Stars were concerned about what Klingbergs next contract would look like.

I don't think moving Skjei is the answer. If Slavin is struck with another injury, he's the natural next man up. Klingberg likely costs Suzuki, Bokk, Drury (2 of them) and a 2nd or something. I do think you're right wih Pesce playing LD, but I'd imagine Cole comes out of the lineup instead. I get this makes the cap tricky, but there's always retention, which might cost an extra pick.
