There’s a lot of supposed locker room cancers in the nhl, and a lot of them aren’t, but Evander Kane is one of them

With all the negative media attention he brings no on top of his off ice antics

If he just had attitude issues that could be worked on as Keefe has dealt with guys like that in the AHL.

But also way to much for him.

In any trade the team trading for him has all the power

A trade for him it would probs be Kane (50% retention) for Ritchie and Engvall to make the cap work should the leafs decide its worth the risk

For me it would have to be Mrazek, Mikheyev for Kane 50% retained.

The question I have is if Byfuglien, Wheeler and others in WPG didn’t get through to him, Buffalo failed, San Jose team mates and management are sick of him, his personal life has been in flames for the world to see…has Kane finally recognized how immature and irresponsible he’s been and will walk in humility and with focus? Not sure with all the resources the Leafs have they can help this young man.

He may have actually wrecked our initial rebuild by corrupting Eichel and Reinhart. So sure Toronto, shoot yourself in the foot by acquiring Kane. smile
