Let the Mathieu Darche era begin 2 of 2

Created by: Super_Randy

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
All trades stating made at TDL 2022 were in the 1 of 2 thread I started. Anything draft and below is what is made in the summer of 2022 as well as Free Agency.

Tyler Myers gets bought out in the summer which gives the Canadiens a cap hit of $ 2.0M in 2022-2023, $6.0M in 2023-2024 and $1.0M in 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

Every trade has detailed explanations on my thought process and personally I do not believe any trade over values any of the Canadiens players. Give Claude Giroux the captaincy, with Suzuki, Anderson and Petry as alternates.

They key here is 15 picks in the 2022 draft which will be held in Montreal. This is a supposedly deep draft so the more picks the better this year. Again, I think all the trades made are fair. Lots of salary retention in the trades which raises the prices slightly.

In no way is trading your future 2nd C/current 3C for a backup goalie a "fair trade". And give a 2nd for the pleasure of it. I care how much you retain.

You can’t retain on more than 3 contracts and retention is for the whole duration of the contract. You can’t retain on just 1 or 2 years.

Yeah someone told me in the 1 of 2 thread. I took out the retention on Joel Armia and took out the 2nd round pick coming back to MTL from PIT
