Your gonna get alot of leaf fans calling you dumb. Niemela is top D prospect and is doing something in Liiga that only hieskanen came close to in last 2p years for a u20 defender. Plus adding a 2nd

The Perreault trade is a fair price, but there's no reason the Jets even consider the Armia trade.

Niemela by himself rn is worth more than Lehkonen especially with the season he is having. I believe he is on the verge of beating Heiskenen's record this year for ppg

A 2nd is what we would offer for Lehkonen with maybe a guy like Joey Anderson

I understand that, but lehkonen is under RFA this year, and if used correctly can be a hard working 20 goal scorer on your third line and shuts down opponents and kills penalties. A year ago a 2nd and 3rd was offered for him an d mtl said no, and i believe niemela is worth a 2nd rounder (although he was drafted in 4th round)

Maybe then substitute a guy like DAR instead of niemela then

Bad news, whoever takes over the Habs is likely only trading 2 or 3 of Chiarot, Perrault, Kulak, Pacquette, Lehkonen, Niku or Widman. I wouldnt expect any major changes before the deadline and probably no one with term unless a irresistible deal comes along.

Leafs would never dare to touch that trade. They are not trading one of their best defensive prospects

Yeah, the Rangers are not paying a 3rd for effectively another bottom pair defenceman. The max we would pay is a 5th round pick.

Why TF would WPG do this deal? MTL fans think Armia is this great player, and don't get me wrong he is alright but not worth a 1st round draft pick who can turn out to be great.

Kulak has played in the top 4 in the playoffs before and done well but he’s a great number 5. I know many teams thought he was valueble

They haven’t bee. great defensively the last few years aside from this reason. If goaltending or some dmen get injured, Kulak can step up

Yeah, why have defensive depth? When you can just trade for Kulak the magic bean of defenceman (heals all your problems 100% guaranteed (but if this was true why trade him)).

That may well be true, but how does that help the Rangers? They have excess young defenseman in the AHL trying to make the team at a fraction of his cost. Rangers need help in the top 6 not on defense.

They have plenty of depth on D, they don't need more. Any trades will be moving a defenseman to get a top 6 forward or center.
