Team: 2021-22 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 29, 2021
Published: Nov. 29, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Dunn was literally free this offseason but hes a bit more valuable so Hickey is for cap, Koivula is a big forward who they can use to fit their scheme and upgrade picks. Boeser is either an over or underpay depending on how he does but a first, middle 6 player, former first rounder and a youngish player for him is definitely enough and the Islanders get some value out of Bellows and Holmstrom instead of wasting them. These trades help both teams. especially if Canucks chose to blow it up. Bailey can even get flipped later. The 1st is also top 10 protected

Not enough for Dunn, they could probably get the same as what Colorado gave the Isles for Toews.

Just because he was exposed doesn't mean he had no value LMAO Armstrong's asking price was a 1st so go figure.

ah yes because they totally didnt try to trade him at the deadline and before expansion draft and couldnt get anything so they exposed him. Why would they expose him for free? thats literally why teams like the islanders exposed good players. they couldnt get value and its a free cap dump. LMFAO

Just admit you have no idea what you're talking about.. SURE they could've traded him for a 2nd+ but that would've meant losing someone else. Exposed players != no value, unless you think Shea Theodore is a worthless player too tears of joy

No, definitely not, that was a different time when teams had limited protection spots leading up to the expansion draft, that's why there were no takers, Dunn is definitely worth more then this to Seattle.

thats not at all comparable. Shea was their 4th best defenseman and nobody could have predicted what he could become. He was supposed to be solid. vegas gave him the oppurtunity to be elite. And im not even saying he has no value. But any team couldve gotten him for very cheap last year but didnt. And this trade is literally worth about a second + a roster player

seattle is gonna have to head in rebuild mode. getting a pick + a big and young poward forward is enough.

That pick would need to be a 2nd rounder at least.

then take out Koivula lol. Koivula and a 3rd is far more valuable than a 2nd. Koivula is worth a mid to late second. hes been incredible and fits their play style well

You're just really undervaluing a top 4 dman with RFA control and over valuing a B-prospect.
