COL doesn’t do that trade even just for Girard. They have zero interest in Gallagher’s contract and have even less interest in Chiarot. Tell me how does adding $5M in cap space incidentally space they don’t have help them this year, and how does Gallagher’s additional 1.5M per help them re-sign MacK, Kuemper, Nichushkin, Burakovsky Byram, Newhook and for that matter why in the hell would COL add Olausson a 1st rd pick who is tearing up the OHL? COL wouldn’t trade Girard for Gallagher straight up, they wouldn’t trade him for that whole package. Always laugh at fans on here that think they actually know players values. Some people have to face the fact that NHL GMs still go based on reputation quite a bit and go by what they think a player brings to the team on and off the ice.

I don't think anyone is saying that their teams wouldn't touch these players. But when you look at the proposed trades they don't make any sense! The trade has to make sense for both the teams involved.

Gallagher I don't think so, Colorado has some big contracts coming up, don't think they trade for or sign anyone over 5 million until Mac is signed and they have a clearer picture. That price trade for sure though, Holland would love that deal. Holland would want to see how he looked coming back but if he looked good then Edmonton would take that and run.
