I think at this point debrusk has very little value. That’s why i didn’t think the bruins would move him. But management, as usual, dicked around and let a players value drop to basically nothing. Fire everyone,

If ray hudson was quoted on this trade he would say: this is not just a dream, its a wet dream...

if we take on debrusk and you get yamo you'd be paying us a couple picks (Yamo > Debrusk and you gain cap space)

Not sure either player is really producing that much. Let’s face it Yamamoto is on a line with the leading scorer in the NHL and has a paltry point total. Yamamoto has 5 points in 20 games. DeBrusk while not playing top six minutes has 6 in 17. We will definitely need a sweetener BUT I see your point. At best it’s a straight up hockey trade.

I watch Yamo and he doesn't hurt the team when he is on the ice. Point production isn't there but he brings more hence why he still plays top 9.

Doesn't seem to be the case with Debrusk from my side. Idk if it's different from a Boston point of view

Jake needs a change of scenery. He’s a top six winger in the NHL. He’d slot in nicely beside either top C in Edmonton. The real problem here I think is he needs another contract in the offseason.

People's fandom is always fascinating. I've seen fans on both sides think there would be a second or more going the other way. Frankly they're probably roughly equal in value

Players of change of scenery carry a ton of risk. he didnt work in Boston and why do you assume he works here. What else does he bring besides lack of points?

Yamo works in Edmonton and is cheaper so straight up it laughable and doesnt make sense.

Why are they equal? I dont watch the bruins (im an oilers fan) so what does he bring to the table that isn't quantified in points?

Jake has a 4.5 mil qualifying offer which doesn't work next yr for the oilers as the cap space is already tight

At this point AZ or Seattle might be better options.
