Detroit is a team to look out for next year, their rebuild looks like it’s done and they ready to contend next year.

I wouldn't go that far yet, we have no LD signed for next year and our options aren't great for that position. Getting Leddy to resign would be good but beyond him we are very thin. Alot of young players that need some improvement. I honestly don't expect playoffs next year, but closer at least.

I think Staal plays another season and I have no problem with that in the last 2 seasons he has only missed 3 games and has averaged over 17 min a game. At 35 his work ethic and dedication to the game that everyone on the team should try to emulate. DeKeyser is a tough one his play has fallen off in the last couple of seasons and back surgery has played a big part of that. He is a local and has been a really solid defenseman for most of his career. I'd really like to see him retire as a Wing and maybe he does retire. If he wants to stay in Detroit he going to have to pick up his game.
