Very nice but the first defense pair you have is easily the worst of the three but other than that nice.

Alzner is 2nd only to Shattenkirk on the D market this year, Alzner will easily get $6 million per. You can bank on that.

I agree that Alzner will get more money and I think he would be a guy that they should get. I just don't know if he will come to winnipeg or if they will want to spend the money knowing they will have to spend alot on these young guys coming up (Trouba if he stays, Ehlers, Morrissey)

Thanks for the comments, my thought was that any D pairing could be the #1. Also if Alzner is smart he'll see that the Jets are an up and coming team and it would be a good career choice for him and if he wants more money, the Jets have the cap. Plus he is a left handed defenseman which we need.

You're probably right about Alzner. Doesn't mean the jets wont/cant sign him. I don't think the jets should go the FA route for help on D. My thoughts is that they can acquire a dman from Vegas after the expansion. The Wild can only protect 2 of the following 3-Dumba, Spurgeon or Brodin. IMO they protect Dumba and Spurgeon, leaving Brodin open to be claimed. Maybe Chevvy can swing a deal for Brodin for a first rounder and a young forward? Brodin can play either side and is young and under contract at a decent cap hit. Vegas may not want to part with a young D to build around, but theyll get a lot of good D and not as many decent F IMO.
