I don't think the Hawks do this. Both players have shown flashes but Strome's flashes have been slightly higher without the off the ice dramatics. Strome isn't requesting a trade as an example, nor been accused of lack of effort.

I do agree but I feel that he would want to change team to play in a team where he would have a really good chance to be number 2c, Debrusk doesn’t cause that much drama, our coach is just no scared of benching players (pasta, Coyle, Grz) I do agree that Strome is the best player on paper but both are not playing like they should

Agree both need a change of scene, but not sure swapping them would be great for either team. Hawks are probably looking to move out cap for next season with Strome and Debrusk doesn't change the cap situation although I don't know what is QO is.

I think the swap is fine for us. I mean, for christs sake, we've been playing Khaira on the 2nd line. We need some wingers. If we were only going to get a mid round pick for Strome anyway, Id rather get a guy who can step in and at least ATTEMPT to make us better. Our center depth is fine. Borgstrom can step in at 3C. Reichel hopefully is alright after his concussion and can step in as a C next year. Maybe you we get a 5th or 6th rounder back as well due to cap shenanigans but I dont think a 1 for 1 would be too far off

No to Strome and no chance he's a 2C. Like his brother in New York is overrated as hell when he's a dine a dozen player.

I don't think Reichel is going to be a center in the NHL, more likely a winger which is fine. Borgstrom is better defensively then Strome (not by much) but not as good offensively and both aren't fast skaters.

All I'm saying is Debrusk, like Strome, is bad defensively and Strome has shown better offensive production then Debrusk. I get the argument that we need a top 6 winger and have been preaching that for a couple years now, but Debrusk is likely not a good answer. Reichel hopefully is next year. In the meantime, move Strome for a B+ prospect IMO rather then taking another risk on a guy who's been snakebit.

If you're moving him for a prospect like that, im fine with that. I just feel its better to get a skater who you can start to mold for next year rather than a draft pick
