Roslovic is from the Columbus area…. Highly doubtful that they consider trading him. Plus they really don’t need another wing, they need centers and Roslovic is a center.

Maybe a Domi+ for Fiala, but I can’t see them trading a hometown kid.

Yeah Columbus could use fiala, but not for roslovic. A deal around a guy like domi or Nyquist with retention and a prospect or higher pick could work. (At draft for a first to be considered for Columbus)

Honestly, it probably is not a good fit.
I really like Fiala.
Unfortunately, the Jackets brought Roslovic in because he is a hometown hockey product, to help solidify the team and bring guys who genuinely want to play here in Columbus.
It helps immensely that he has talent and is a center.
Fiala is a winger, and right now the Jackets have an abundance of wingers and very few true centers (Bjorkstrand, Voracek, Laine, & Nyquist).
Jenner is excelling now at center, but he really prefers LW.
They tried Texier and Domi at center, but they both seem to play much better on the wing (LW).
Which leaves Jenner, Roslovic, Kuraly, and Cole Sillinger as the most viable center options right now.

Otherwise, the trade would probably be a good one.

Doesn't really fit for Minnesota either. We need a top six center, not a middle six guy who can play center.

yeah I know he's middle six. I would expect picks/prospects back with him as well tho. Also, Russo has reported that Minnesota has been interested in him in the past which is why I thought of it.
