Sharks trade isn’t horrible, nice to see Lysell finally included in a trade for Hertl. I just don’t think Sharks would like to send Hertl to the same team as Kane, just common courtesy thing.

One dynamic to look at here is that Hertl and Kane won't want to be traded to the same team. That's part of the situation now -- Sharks have to choose one of them, and if they choose to bring back Kane (they won't), that means the end of Hertl in teal. They both have NTC's so it's controlled by them too.

Torn on this one honestly. On one hand, I appreciate the two 1st rounds plus a top prospect in Lysell, all of which would be lovely for the Sharks to have. On the other, the Sharks are better suited to trade Labanc to a team with issues in wing (thinking Seattle or Ottawa are better fits for him), and retaining Hertl on top of Kane would mean a hefty sum of dead cap for this season.

I for one will cautiously accept this trade, but I can see why other Sharks fans on CapFriendly may decline.

    So lets get this straight….
Bruins take a cancer in Kane….negative value.
They take a very overpaid labanc…negative value.
Because they just took on all that cap, they can’t re-sign hertl, so the one good thing they get is a rental.

They give up debrusk, their best prospect, and two picks in the process.

That right there is a franchise destroyer.

Kane may be a **** but he’s damn good
    Labanc isn’t overpaid imo
    Hertl is amazing
But if you rather not have a Stanley cup you do you

Do you think Debrusk is overpaid?

WIth these trades, the Bruins are not likely to win the stanley cup. Then they’re likely to be bad for a long time. I think it would be worse than the Thornton trade.

Imagine having paid attention to his play the 2+ seasons. 4.725 should get you a lot more than that.

Scoring a .49 ppg over the last two shortened seasons while being on the 3rd or 4th line is pretty good production for player with bad players on a bad team.

Hertl and Kane do not like each other. Therefore it would never happen

What does Karlsson have to do with? You're just trying to antagonize now.

My comments have always been about negative value. Because labanc has negative value. See, the whole negative value concept comes from this thing called bad contracts. Labanc has a bad contract. Bene?
