Ideally Toffoli is moved for futures rather than a roster player

Yes ideally if we go the rebuild route but I do not think that will happen this year. I feel like the team will give Price and Co next year as the last gasp effort to get them the cup. With that in mind DeBrusk is young enough that he could still be used in a quick turnaround rebuild. He has 2 years of team control as well. I think the framework could be there, the problem is getting Montreal and Boston to find common ground and agree on a trade lol.

Toffoli is one of the few guys who can land the team a 1st round pick straight up, which is why I don't see them trading him for a roster player. But I agree DeBrusk would be an interesting swap for a player that's not worth as much as Toffoli in terms of picks.

Here is a link to an article that says Dreger linked him to 6 teams including the Habs

Agreed, like I said DeBrusk makes sense if we choose to give Price and company one or two more runs. I guess if we chose we could go Toffoli + 3rd for DeBrusk + 2023 1st, I just don't know what kind of value either side would be getting in something like that.

i mean lets be honest the rivalry isn't what it once was let **** i was cheering for you guys to beat tampa and i know a lot more bruins fans that were aswell. id say bruins big rivalries are toronto, tampa, washington, NYI and for montreal im not to sure really outside of toronto for sure. toffoli is a better player for now and debrusk could possibly breakout again with a change of scenery obviously bruins add just how much
i'd be fine with like what i put a 2nd and 4th
hell if they even decided to make one overly large trade
id give
debrusk, vaak, 22 1st and 23 4rd
for chariot and toffoli

bruins are just looking for an upgrade anything better then debrusk is good value for boston. we are having troubles scoring so acquiring a sniper like toffoli is crucial for boston to have any success beyond the first line

Dreger I a pretty credible source, I would put him up there with LeBrun and Serivalli as the guys who don't need 3 credible sources

They talked about it on insider trading though so same sort of thing. Anyway like I said before this would require Montreal and Boston getting on the same page and agreeing to a trade lol
