A buy out is less than the retention, so I think they'll get something of value, but not that return.
His suspension for using a fake vaccination card is over, but his legal issues (domestic) and league investigation (betting) remain, so his value as a productive player is very much in doubt. Ultimately Kane even at 2mil is a risky proposition based on these off the ice issues.
Oskar is back and mostly healthy. He is doing all the right things: skating, fighting for pucks, board battles, sound defensively, but has just flashes of the offense that looked like a 15-20 goal guy.
I could see Lindblom for Kane and 3.5mil retained, but not with a 1st. I'm thinking Kane and 50% retention for Lindblom and a 3rd in 2023 or a high-ish midlevel prospect (something like a D Ron Attard or D Linus Hogberg or C Jay O'Brien).
But still not entirely sure PHI is that desperate to take a huge risk. (PHI's issue is injuries, but those players are starting to return)
