Except for the Leafs taking a massive hit in the Kerfoot, Strome trade, Seattle easily spends their cap elsewhere and keeps the pick, and the Leafs needing another NHL Dman on the team, it all makes sense.

It's easy to just look at points and say Marner is not playing well but we have to keep in mind he was burdened by having just 3 points through the first 9 games of the season. Ever since the team has played extremely well and he is a vital part of their success. They shouldn't make any major moves the way they're playing.

I wouldn't be opposed to the Kerfoot deal.

Let's get real the Seattle trade is a least another first rounder and that's just for Marner on his own. Then the leafs are adding Dermott a better then average #6 d- man and a bottom 6 forward in Ritchie. Dunn #4 d-man on the leafs and Eberle last 3 season has a total of 110 points Marner has 228 points. Nylander has 128 points. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WILLIE IS BETTER THEN MARNER.

lol idk man you might be a little biased Mr. "Marner Rocks". Dermott is worth nothing and Ritchie has negative value. You could get a better winger than Eberle, but he actually performs in the playoffs. Dunn is a cost controlled top 4 d-man, who's young and an RFA. Plus you get another probable top 10 pick. Also Nylander has a great shot and that outweighs the gap in passing ability.
