That is unknown. He liked Buffalo and if Boston wanted to move him to give Rask his role back, there is definitely a chance. He was treated well here.

No one actually likes buffalo. They’re just not mean so they don’t make it public that they hate it.

Heard that he wanted 6x6 from us. That means he rather take less to be on a winning team. Not sure it was a factor of him being here. He got his bag, Boston isn't working, time to roll it back lol.

I’m glad they didn’t. He has no business making 5 million dollars.

He's got value but Boston dealing him this early is a bad PR move.

-5.38 goals save above expected. He’s been slightly better than Aaron Dell this season.

His numbers don’t line up with how bad he’s played. So many rebounds left out in the slot, can’t find/cover the puck, glove hand is pretty bad - pops out as often as he holds onto it, out of position.

Why did Boston sign him? Weren't they expecteing Rask to return? They could've ran Swayman and Vladar (Or a cheap option in FA) until Rask came back.

Where does Rask play with Ullmark and Swayman as the starter and backup? Pretty sure Swayman would require waivers and you can't bench a $5M goalie.

I don’t think it has to be.

Boston, MA - Bruins GM Don Sweeney told reporters that Tuukka Rask, who signed with the club this week, had recovered from injury quicker, and better than expected. Fellow bruins netminder Jeremy Swayman, a rookie, had played well enough that the Bruins brass didn’t feel it would be in line with their culture to demote the youngster, so recent free agency acquisition Linus Ullmark was given the choice of serving as the third option at goal. However, Ullmark preferred to get a fresh start elsewhere, and be given an opportunity to play. Bruins management facilitated this via trade after Ullmark waived his no movement clause.

    I don’t think that’s too bad.

Swayman is waiver exempt. Would be sent down. Vlad would have had to clear waivers.

I dunno. They had $ to spend but nothing to spend it on. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Insurance if Rask hung them up.
