Bobcat’s Post Game Notes, Game 22
Jackets lose 3-1 to the Washington Capitals.
-These lines were all out of whack tonight. The Robbie-Sean-Tex line was brought up to line 3 (which is something I mentioned in the last installment, which has me thinking) and Rosie was healthy scratched in exchange for… Justin Danforth? What?
-We are experts at letting goals in early, aren’t we? For the last couple of games we’ve let in goals in the first five minutes. Why?
-YEGOR BOOOOOOooooohhgoddammit it was offsides. Can we catch a break - just ONE break - with these offsides? Please?
-for the third period, the lines were all shaken up. Separating Robbie, Sean and Tex (sacrilege in my eyes) and putting Jake on the fourth? It’s like we kinda gave up and spent that 20 minutes on experimentation.
-At least we did score: Danforth had a good feed to Robbie to cut the lead in half, but ultimately it didn’t matter as McMichael put in an empty netter.
-Daniil Tarasov had a very impressive showing in these last two games. He’s definitely showing he’s a good fit for the backup role next year behind the King of Rock and Roll.
-Speaking of Dani: He’s now being called “Scary Tarry” by the Twitter account and the fans, and honestly I hope that sticks. It has a nice ring to it.
