After what Pionk did to Sandin, it's not a surprise that Leafs players were targeting Pionk.
Therefore Spezza skating into Pionk is intending to injury. You really think Spezza just happened to skate into Pionk and hit him in the head after what happened. Its not rocket science


For the last time. HES NOT TRYING TO HURT PIONK AND SHOULDNT BE SUSPENDED. Obviously he’s mad and not looking to hurt him. He’s looking to send a message.

Nvm can’t post the video here but in the nfl sometimes qbs run and then slide and there’s been hits where while he’s sliding the safety jumps into him and that’s like a dangerous hit and qbs get knocked out. It seemed like that kinda was the situation here but speeza held up so it wasn’t that bad. I agree about sending a message but if it were someone faster than Spezza with the same hit it would’ve been way uglier

Yup agreed, Spezza’s was a terrible hit. But for me, I have a hard time believing Pionk’s hit on Sandin was not on purpose. Guy is a rat IMO. Not saying two rights make a wrong, someone should have just fought Neal but the Refs lost control of the game

Both hits were complete garbage, although Spezza’s is worse because of the obvious intent beyond a shadow of a doubt and the fact that it was a hit to the head.

Don't think you actually understand context. Because context does not apply to an intent to harm.

Yeah "he shot my friend" so I "shot his friend" does not mean there's a right or wrong. They're both wrong. Context doesn't matter. Spezza is intending to "destory" Pionk with a big hit.

I get his was sticking up for a fallen teammate against a guy who clearing has issues with the Leaf players. Pionk, Morrissey, Scheifele are about as dirty as they come. I have no respect for that team.

I’m also sick of seeing it everywhere I go for my hockey content. 24hrs has past, Sandin is thankful not that injured. Let’s move on

Agree someone should have fought Neal Pionk instead of that hit.

It doesn't look on purpose but it's pretty much impossible to tell from a video like that. The above clip of him trying to knee Marner is quite suspicious (on terms of this being on purpose).

Pionk wasn't falling down last minute. He was literally on his knees playing tbe puck
That makes my last point extremely valid. If Leaf fans were insane, they would be arguing that Spezzas hit was clean. But would you look at that. Almost every leaf fan says Spezzas hit was dirty which means they are being logical
