This is suicide. Brutal trades. Except the Winnipeg and Detroit trades which weirdly heavily favour Vancouver

I really don't think that the Kings are interested in J. T. Miller, especially at that price.

I hardly think those two favour Vancouver very much if at all

Maybe they aren't trying to be front runners at least, it was just a suggestion

Demelo is way better than Hamonic

No motivation for Detroit to take on the Myers contract, even if he’s the better defenseman.

Both favour Van heavily.

The bruins trade is brutal for vancouver. 2 overpaid bottom sizers and a pick for Boeser. Selling low on Boeser seems like a huge mistake that the Canucks would come to regret

Boston would seem to me to be the kind of contender that might be interested in J. T. Miller, if he could fil their #2C position.

The Wpg, STL, and Det def favor us heavy.

Poolman and Pearson are either already or will become negative value connects. Canucks take one negative value back but also get a good young player.

Same idea with Hamonic to WPG. Hamonic hardly has value and isn't better than Demelo.

Myers is negative value. Not giving up assets to dump him is huge.

Also how sad is it that all 3 of our RD are basically negative assets

NO! Anyone who says Hamonic or Pearson is a negative asset is crazy. Not saying either of them has a lot of value, and it's fair if you think I overvalued Hamonic compared to Demelo. I think right now Poolman is at worst a neutral asset, he doesn't have a long enough track record to be treated as a negative asset. You can make an argument for Myers as a negative asset, but he does actually provide some actual on-ice tangibles offensively, so it's not like a huge sweetener would be needed to convince a team to take on his contract, and I don't think I asked for much in return for him

In case you didn't notice, the pick from Boston is a 1st rounder.

Sometimes I send Miller to Boston when I do these. I get if I underestimated Demelo's value, back Hamonic could still fetch a 3rd rounder from an interested team while Demelo could fetch more like a 2nd rounder

I'll agree that Poolman isn't a negative yet, though the term on his contract is bad.

The Isles had to pay a second to get out from one year of Leddy, that's my bar for Myers. Yes, he does provide some offense but he's also grossly overpaid.

Pearson make far too much money for his offensive output.

Harmonics contract isn't bad but it's hard to imagine a team giving up assets for it. I will say, props for sending him to WPG. I think it's probably one of like 4 teams he would play for.

Pearson's offensive output is still decent, he isn't grossly overpaid they way Myers is, heck I would argue Pearson isn't overpaid at all. I think a 30-point pace is well within Pearson's capabilities

I think any team would give up assets for a right-handed defenseman, even if they aren't necessarily super valuable assets. I think Hamonic could easily fetch a 3rd or a 4th rounder

They can just bury him if they want, he's only good for being a net front presence on the powerplay. With Bergeron playing net front on the first unit, I don't know who plays net front on the second unit
