Lolk. Look, some dumb gm may pay, and in fact over pay for a bad defender like chariot because they love cross checks or whatever, but sakic isnt dumb. He doesnt need, nor probably want a guy who is slow, not agile, terrible with the puck and awful defensively.
Chariot stinks and sakic is smart enough to know that.

And price hasnt played all year and has been a bad goalie more than he has been a good goalie the past 5ish seasons by a wide margine. His contract is awful even with 50% retained.

That was because their Forwards are Lethal and their D/Goaltending crushed our offense.

That's what Price did with a team that really shouldnt have made the playoffs if we're being honest we limped in.
Put him on a Contender like COL with a back up like Kuemper behind him i think he hits another level (as good as he is you're right he has it in him to elevate his game as he's a puck moving goalie)
