I’d take that Knucks deal any day of the week, and twice on weekends!

2 way contracts have nothing to do with waiver elegibilty, just what the player makes in the AHL/NHL. This is a common misconception though.

Stephenson is interesting but I don't think we should be giving up firsts. Idk if the Rags bother with Poolman, they need to clear cap at some point.

Miller trade is low value to us, despite the quantity.

A 2 way contract only means a player gets paid different amounts depending on which league they are playing in. It has effect on waiver eligibility.
    IMO, Stephenson isn't worth a 1st.

Should ask for more from the Leafs, this is very quantity over quality. At the very minimum, make it a 2022 1st rather than 2023.

Always love to ask for more, but it would have to be picks or prospects so the 'Nucks remain cap compliant.

Thanks for the info. No one thought Miller was worth a first and a third and a minor leaguer when the Canucks traded for him......

The general frame work around here would be to remove Mikheyev and Rubins and add one of Toronto's top prospects. A Robertson or Amirov.

Not arguing against Stephenson's value, but yeah, I don't think I want to trade a 1st for a guy who is AT BEST a fringe top six centreman

I think at least a 2nd rounder needs to be added to that package

Oh, and lastly about the Rangers trade, I honestly think you only need to add a 4th or a 5th rounder to move Poolman's contract, because he only has one more year of term at the same cap hit as Nemeth does. A mid to late round pick should be enough to account for the additional year of term. Both defenseman are pretty much on par with each other when it comes to value

We will keep Khaira. We moved Highmore and now Stan is gone I don't see any of those return trades happen anymore, thankfully. He is a good physical presence on the bottom line and cap is good.
