Dang I wanted to like this AGM but then puljujarvi is getting the same deal as Elias pettersson and Andrei svechnikov and the trades are out of whack

The value is both too low for each + not a fit

Puljujarvi is mostly a beneficiary of the guys in your username whereas Elias / Svech produce more points generally with way way worse linemates

ARI declines. Chychrun is their MVP, the value is insufficient and this trade does nothing for their rebuild.

Can't see BOS doing that either. And the big reason why DeBrusk is on the market is his high QO of $4,85M. That much you must give to him if you want to keep his rights. At $2M he easily goes UFA.

Not close on Chychrun. Arizona wouldn't move him for less than Holloway, Bouchard and that first, and that might not be enough.

Just everything about this shows how much you over love Oilers. From how much underpays your trades are to how you way overpaid your rfas.

No a big reason he's on the market is because he asked for a trade because he's stuck behind Hall and Marchand. He also seems to be the coaches favorite target for "sending a message" to the team. Last night was another great example. Kid scores a goal to get the team going in the 1st period (ended up being the GWG) and he was rewarded with just over 10 minutes of TOI and sat most of the 3rd period. As for the QO, I could see him signing for less in EDM for a 1yr prove it kind of deal. He's very close with his family and part of his issues last season were from being isolated from them. No one is going to give him $4.8 QO unless he goes on a insane run this year and if he became a UFA EDM would be the logical destination for him. EDM is probably the only team that doesn't really have to worry about his QO.

90% sure DeBrusk is a UFA next summer due to not being qualified. You can sign him then for market value. Otherwise he'll get $4.4M on a 1 year deal as an RFA and he's not worth that.

John Moore and 4th for Yammer. Its the same offer as yours is. Kassian has negative value to the Bruins.

Debrusk’s slump is as productive as Kassians best production. Lol.

If you look at 5v5 scoring rates (to eliminate differences in deployment) over the past 3+ years, you'll see a different picture.

    18-19
    DeBrusk: 17 goals (1.18 G/60)
    Kassian: 12 goals (0.69 G/60)

    19-20
    D: 12 (0.86)
    K: 15 (1.03)

    20-21
    D: 3 (0.36)
    K: 2 (0.39)

    21-22
    D: 2 (0.54)
    K: 3 (0.84)

You have to go back 3 years to find a time when DeBrusk scored at a higher rate than Kassian. Even if you take the aggregate of those 3.25 seasons (heavily weighted to the 1st one for DeBrusk) they are in the same range: 0.84 for DeBrusk vs 0.79 for Kassian.

So even looking at DeBrusk's one good dimension there's no daylight between them. And DeBrusk brings nothing when he isn't scoring.

Debrusk .36ppg the last 2 years. Not very good. Kassian is .33 for his career and .275 the last 2 years. Debrusk was .59 his first 3 years. Almost double Kassians production.

Debrusk is a better skater and scorer, younger, vastly higher ceiling. And unlike past years is no longer floating. He’s even backchecking which has been a pleasant surprise. They even put him out on the PK a few times. Never would have seen that before. Kassian is more physical.

Here’s a good one though. You can’t give Kassian away, they tried not that long ago. The day after Debrusk went public with trade request 12 teams called Boston.

In Boston Kassian would have to fight for 4th line minutes with Lazar who is a valuable PK. Meaning he healthy scratches a lot or gets buried. 3 years at 3.2 for that…doubt they’d claim him off waivers much less trade for him.

LOL, you're comparing all-situations goals as I knew you would. Rookie mistake. DeBrusk had more PP goals because he plays on the PP a lot more than Kassian. He wouldn't get PP time in Edmonton, so trading for him based on PP goals is a fools errand.

Kassian is bigger, stronger, faster and useful in multiple roles. And he has been scoring better over the past 2.25 seasons, despite fighting through Covid and injuries last year.

    Edmonton declines.

Lol, Debrusk is one of the fastest skaters in the league. He’s much faster than Kassian.

Kassian does not play PP because he’s not good enough offensively nor does he play PK, so not useful in more situations.

You don’t have to decline, B’s have zero interest.

Nobody in the league is "much faster" than Kassian. Not even McDavid. Shows how little you know.

While I won't deny my love for my team, i do these to also get an understanding of where im at of other teams players value. Puljujarvi already has a good point total and is gonna have a decent sized ask, plus paying long term is gonna have is have his contract even out from cap going up overtime IF this turns out to be an overpay. And for yamo, he took a bridge deal and does little things that bring his teammates success. Ur prob right on underpaying in trades, still trying to figure out value of other players still.

that's fair, a more realistic thing would probably be kass to a bad team as a cap dump, then use his money to sign a depth RW in the off-season
