If that is the direction that the Canadiens (and Price) want to go, and Price waives his NTC to go to Edmonton, then the Canadiens would probably do it. But I don't know about Edmonton. Taking on Keith's contract and having the Canadiens retain on Price's contract is a good start. I think that the public perception of Price is sometimes different than that of NHL management: he will be a wanted commodity (especially if they retain). But whether or not they could get a first, Holloway and Yamamoto for him is another question entirely. I would assume Keith, a first and Holloway would get it done. Totally my opinion, so please don't hate. smile

I don't really agree and it's a bit jumbled, but I really wish more input in this website was articulate and chill like this, so I gave you an enthusiastic like

Don't spend it all in one place awesome face

Funny how we get so serious about a game

Everyone needs a Foegele: no household is complete without one! It slices, it dices... it subtly discourages your lawn gnomes from unionizing! awesome face

In all seriousness he's a nice asset for any team

Been very dynamic for Edmonton so far

Completely agree about how serious (and hateful) people get. It's just a game. Chill. smile

Don't think trading for Price is the way EDM should go.

Warren Foegele has been good, why trade him for nothing?

It doesn’t matter, look at his cap hit and look at MINs cap situation for the rest of his term. Foegele is exactly the type of salary we need to shed, not take on. That’s great he’s useful, but I can’t think of a worse place than MIN for him to go.

(Sorry for my English, It's not my current language) I think that a goalie could carrying his team in the playoffs is the missing part for Edmonton if they would win the cup, but Carey Price is the only actually available in the market. The problem is that Montreal have the most passionate fan base in the NHL, and Price is an idole in the city, so they habs don't let he go for a low value, otherwise the fans will reproach the new GM who will want to be appreciated from the beginning of his work. 3,5M for 5 year + Keith for a year are also very much cap space ! So here why in my opinion Price could be expensive. And if the habs lose all this, they will ask more than promise (prospects and picks), they will ask a "security" part in the deal, In my opinion Yamamoto could is that guy.

(Sorry for my English, It's not my current language) With to add Carey Price, the oilers needs cap space. the defense is good and the top 6 exceptional so they should move in their bottom 6 and take tampa in exemple, that is take some grit and cheap veteran, like Maroon, Spezza and Clutterbuck. And they do to sign ZAR because is availaible, cheap and one the best player in the PK in the league. contrarily at this 4 players, Foegele gives no big contribution and he make more than 2.5M !
