THta would be a no from the Avs

why would they trade a cost controlled good Top 4 dman just for draft picks, unless they are getting Tuch in a trade (Buffalo wouldnt move him as a local guy) then there isnt a trade to be had here

I’m thinking it be a draft deal before FA

but that doesnt answer the question, why are the avs moving girard for pure futures. not even a notable prospect, just random allotted draft pick value hoping a nice prospect is available (also that draft pick value isnt enough for girard, its pretty weak in terms of selection value)

they are not in a selling off rebuilding mode. Impact players for Impact players is what they would be after. They get much much worse if they move girard for futures.

I'm not sure why the Avs would have any incentive to move Girard. Especially for futures, they are trying to win now.
Also, there is a less than 0% change Risto signs with Buffalo. He basically begged management to trade him for three straight years, I honestly think he would opt to play in a beer league over signing in Buffalo.

A late 1st a late 2nd and a late 3rd for a cost controlled 23yr old dman. That’s a joke. Girard is better and on a significantly better contract than Jones. Jones fetched 2 1st a 2nd and a top d prospect let me know when you get to that ball park. That’s a bad offer.

Not bad IMO @xercuses.
Buffalo has many LHD options and while that is a steal for Girard, IMO Buffalo would prefer to keep the picks.
Ristolainen back, interesting! He has certainly not performed as well in Philadelphia as he has in Buffalo and the Flyers only have one more point than Buffalo, sure why not?
I am not so sure he has begged to be moved as he has always played well, management just thought it was time to move on, he may resign with Buffalo.
You have certainly presented a different perspective of a future Buffalo team.
Lastly I like how you have right handed RW and RHD.
Too many people think the parts are interchangeable.

You're looking at minimum Olofsson or Tuch to start a conversation involving Girard.

It's not that hard to switch from one side to the other on wing, some wings (myself included) prefer playing on our off hand because it gives a better shot lane and sets up for one-timers and rebounds. playing off-hand on D is much tougher and requires the Player to be really good with thier backhand.
