Absolutely not

1 the salary cap exists, 2... Kravtsov is in Russia and is on the path as a bust, Nemeth is a bad Dman, and Strome Is a pending UFA, in what world is that world a top pairing Dman

If it wasn't for future cap realities, we'd all love to add players except that VAN trade obviously.

Not defending the trade value or anything above but you do realize he’s still a kid and even Kaprizov was in the KHL till 23 years old.

He has come over to NA and hasn't looked good. That is why I am saying he is looking like the path for a bust. He has refused to compete at the level needed twice to make the NHL.

Ya, spoiled kids do make bad decisions when it comes to playing in the AHL.. Drouin nearly ruined his career also. I in no way am saying he is a slam dunk superstar but he clearly has a high potential and you’ve probably seen his highlight goal a few weeks back. I personally think he needs a top 6 role which he isn’t going to get in many places, however on a ARZ/BUF/SEA type team he could blossom.

nail yakupov had high light reel goals too. Compete level and hockey IQ can make a player to stick in the NHL, just saying they have raw talent doesnt mean they will have success. Until he changes his approach , which he has refused to do twice already.

I wouldn't say CHI absolutely says no, but that probably doesn't get Toews. Plus he would have to waive, which probably won't happen. But I wouldn't put it passed whoever the next CHI GM ends up being to ask either of Toews or Kane if they would be willing to waive to the right team if the return were truly going to help the rebuild.

Oh on some level I agree with you, but to claim he’s a bust because he won’t play in the AHL and wants top 6 mins is a stretch. He very well might be a bust or just never given the right opportunity, but he is definitely worth the risk for a rebuilding team. (Not COL)

I didnt say hes a bust, I said hes on the path to becoming one. I am not 100% writing him off, but the track record is not good for a guy in his position
