Comparable seems fitting for Norris

Tho I feel Hischier *could* become Swiss Datsyuk

In the same way Marchand went from good to elite

But that's much more of a subjective kinda thing...

In terms of the value for Norris

Why should he get a similar or larger deal than:

Elias Pettersson
Andrei Svechnikov
Quinn hughes
Jack Hughes
Etc.

Truly some of the best hockey assets on earth

That's quite rich though not ridiculous for Norris. Hischier had 1st oa pedigree in his negotiation. He also scored the way he did in his first two years post draft. Younger than Norris.

Norris has almost a full season between the last two years. In them he has 50 points in 77 gp. That's good, but it isn't incredible or anything. He's a good but not special 2 way player.

The only reason the sens do a deal like the above is because they really think Norris has a lot more growing to do. As right now he's worth 5-6 mil. (the Suzuki and Hughes overpay have set the market a bit though)

Petersson didn't sign for term so it's not comparable. His is a bridge deal
Quinn Hughes is just completely different player as a dman.
Svechnikov is also quite different as a winger
J Hughes actually hasnt done more than Norris but also has high pedigree

But I do think the deal above is too much

i dont think Norris has quite accomplished as much as those players have yet.

I think suzukis contract signed at the start of the season is his best comparable, and I'm sure it will be very similar.... just like soon after farabee signed batherson signed for nearly the same contract, another very good comparable
