As much as I would love to get Kirby for that cap, I think he will be closer to 4m than 2m which would prohibit the Lindholm move.

What has Kirby Shown to get a 4 million dollar contract? Potential is great, but results is what get you paid.

He hasnt shown enough offensive output yet but defensively he has been good and he is getting in good areas. We aren't even half way through the year. Tough to say at this stage what he will end up with by way of points production.

Until he puts up 4AAV numbers I’m not giving him that contract.

Any thoughts on potentially resigning De Haan for a much lower cap? He’s played a pretty solid game under King.

Thats fair game. Hoping he can crack it. Showing plenty of good signs just needs the numbers to back it up.

Nice in theory but he is likely gone come TDL for a late 2nd or 3rd with retention.

Who hasn’t played better under King? As for extending De Hann… maybe but we realistically have a logjam of players/prospects there.

Not being a smart ass at all when I ask this. But is it weird that Dach keeps making me feel vindicated? You are right that the potential is and always has been there, but it hasn’t delivered. What’s your thoughts on that?

Not necessarily when the new information matches a lot of the old. It’s just the same old story repeating.

I'd love to see Lindholm on the first line paired with Jones.

I'd think Dach gets in the $3Ms range, but who knows until half the season is over. Hopefully the Hawks are trying to extend him now as he continues having problems at the dot and not finishing due to lack of a shot.

I think Reichel ends up on the wing in the NHL but could obviously be wrong. He should give the top 6 a good boost.

I'd rather have Strome over Johnson but unlikely we can move Johnson which illustrates why the Hawks are likely to move Strome due to cap space.

Obviously is a stretch Colton makes the team next year, likely a AHL player, but would be nice. He needs to work on his skating (like his Brother who's overcome that). Has a much better shot then his brother.
