BB is a great choice. He was beloved here in Minnesota and the mass percentage of us fans hated to see him go. Ultimately he was let go because he did a little too well when it comes to getting his teams to the playoffs, and Guerin wanted to see how the roster could handle themselves getting to them without him at the helm.
I didn't agree with it at the time, but time has shown that Guerin was right. The team overperformed with him leading from the bench, and wasn't up to snuff without him. Since then Guerin has put a lot of effort into retooling the roster since then.
The same could be said about Vancouver. Just in reverse. BB may not be the type of coach that will win you the cup, but he'll definitely get you to the playoffs. Which, right now, is what Vancouver should be aiming for. BB is the best option around to right the ship, and that he's done spectacularly for his entire career. He did it in Washington. He did it in Anaheim. And he did it in Minnesota too.
He can definitely do it for Vancouver as well....
Just maybe not... you know... this year.
