Description

Both Kuemper and Francouz get healthy, and the forwards recommit to playing with full effort in all three zones. Goalie issue solved! What, did you think this was a Price to Colorado trade? GTFO with that nonsense.

Kulak adds depth if Murray is out for the year, and I personally feel like the JDB for JTC trade makes sense for both teams. JDB may have the higher ceiling, but JTC is trending the right direction and would be a nice fit in Boston (imo). Positionally it makes some sense as well, although Colorado might miss JTC's ability to play C.

Yeah what they really ought to do is dump the guy they paid a 1st and top prospect for AND not play him in the playoffs.

Well that's the main issue right, like how about they pick up a couple of the guys who are all alone in our zone in front of the net and we will see the goals go down.

I don’t think Compher for DeBrusk gets it’s done, probably have to add a piece. And I definitely think they look to add a dman. But overall kinda fits with what Sakic does in season. Solid job.

Come on everybody knows you can leave guys like Matthews and Tavares all alone in front of the net!🤦🏻‍♂️ I think some of it is attributable to the carousel of a line up, but if you are going to be anything be defensively responsible at least.

Well while MTL is praying they win the Wright sweepstakes they’ll be getting playoff experience, and if you told me they weren’t 1 of the 4 or 5 favorites you’d being lying.

Not disagreeing with that at all. They were the preseason SC favorite, so of course they shld get Playoff experience… first round Playoff experience tho 😏

Kuemper was arguably the best goalie available. And he has performed well in his limited playoff experience. If the organization wasn't comfortable with him between the pipes then they wouldn't have acquired him. It wasn't some half move where they intend to get someone else.

nah bruins add a piece. debrusk has a $4.85m qualifiing offer. even if the avs go to arbitration and win it's still a $4.1m q.o. he's only as good as a rental imo unless a new contract is worked out first.

I still expect the Avs to kick the tires on a goalie trade regardless. Never want to be thin at that position, especially come playoff time.

Part of me can appreciate that take, but the other part asks myself how often teams win the Cup when on their backup or third goalie. Replacing a skater is one thing, but losing a starter annihilates the odds. So while I'm not against what you suggest, I also wouldn't consider it a necessity or bend over backwards to make it happen.
