I am giving you a guy that can be one of the top 3 point production Dman in the league. And I know you want him, so I want Smtih/Zacha/Holtz or Smith/Holtz/1st.

Johnsson is not worth much and a 2023 pick will probably be bad since NJD will probably be in Playoff next year

If you look at there division next year a playoff spot isn’t guaranteed imo it’s two extremely hard divisions and honestly imo canucks next year have a better chance

But why?

Devils have Ty Smith, Luke will be here in year or two, all of our defensive prospects in AHL are doing well, we just signed Mukhamadullin, and Graves and Siegenthaler are manning the ship well most nights.

Our problem has been defensive zone exits and low-quality shots. Quinn’s strength is getting the puck through the neutral zone (which Devils have mostly been okay at). And we would have to give up one of our better shooting forwards in the process.

If you forget about the last name for a minute, it’s a move that makes little sense right now for NJD.

Definitely fun to think about. But in reality, if Canucks starting selling off pieces, Boeser would be the guy who make the most sense for NJ.
