tampa might be the last team in the league not named Carolina that would want Chariot, even if he was good.

The ducks aren’t trading a 1st no matter where they are in the standings. Even tho they’re competitive they’re still in a rebuild. The only 1sts I see them foregoing are the ones possible in return for Lindholm and Rakell by keeping them thru the end of the season rather than trading them. Not to mention Hoffman isn’t a fit. He’s too old for the time line of this duck team.

TB easily declines! Why you ask?
A) $712 cap space
B) by far the best Left side blue line in hockey.
C) he wouldn't be much of an upgrade on the right side either.
D) they aren't giving up their 1st 3 years in a row with how thin the Crunch are becoming.

Hoffman hasn't played enough this year for any team to get a first.

Drouin is more likely to be moved in the off season, with 50% retained and gets more then that in a trade.

We wouldn't trade our 2022 first by itself for Hoffman and your own 2022 third.

Even if the Avs were interested in Drouin, they aren’t, how does COL make the cap work when that move puts them $5M over the cap?
