This trade is assuming the Islanders go into full rebuild. Hence why Panarin is not in this.

Gets full money/near what Toews and Kane get.
Plus why wouldn't he want to play on this team?

Isles retain half the price because he has 1-year remaining.

Additional Details:
Hawks have a very shallow prospect pool now.

This is quantity, but it's also VERY high in quality.

DeBrincat is a feistier Gaudreau. Everyone has seen Schmaltz play, he's very good as of right now, top line player. Louis is also a tiny player but excelling, going to be very good. And Motte is also a good player with top-6 capabilities.



Based on what they project in the NHL:

    What if the Leafs decided to take him and his contract on ((everyone hates players over 30 signing long-term extensions)) but in return they only give the Hawks either a prospect or just a 1st round pick?

    So Leafs get one of the best shutdown players and his 7-year contract for just a prospect or a pick.

    While the Hawks get salary cap relieve for Tavares. In this case, the Hawks get an underrated player that has elite potential showings and a 7th.

    I was thinking I was forgetting something when doing this haha. I knew something didn't look right. I was gunna trade Seabrook so Tavares can fit in with his cap for the year after.
