Even if he is the conversation for Toffoli half retained starts at Schneider + 2022 1st. I mean where else are you going to find a consistent 20-30 goal scorer signed for 3 more years that only costs you 2 Mil? Answer: No where!

Blues decline this deal in a hurry, especially if you want any retention on Tarasenko. Kakko and a 2nd or Kravstov, a 1st, and maybe a lesser pick not retained.

In this case they cant get VT and Tyler Toffoli as both the blues and Habs would want the same thing for both at 50% retained

Sucks to be the Rags then doesn't it?! You can't get a quality player like Toffoli half retained for cheap, it just doesn't happen.
