But saying Allen has been bad is taking shortcuts. He's been up to his standards - a top-tier backup goaltender. He's just overwhelmed in a starter role. Before his injury, he has the most games played among goaltenders.

You would need to add a 1st going to Avs, take out Holloway on EDM trade, take out 1st in Boston trade. Add a 2nd going to NYR.

counter point is the OPs argument about Kuempers injury issues, so if Allen cant handle a starting load, how is he insurance for Kuemper.
Unless a goalie is out for the season, kuemper missing 3 games is making a mountain out of mole hile and trying to shoe horn Allen into a trade making it sound like a desperate need for the avs

If it was Allen for Fracnouz thats a conversation, but avs taking on montreal goalies to be their 1A or 1B starter is just exhausting on this site, just abandons all logic

Allen over the past 3-4 years had that 1 strong stretch run that basically saved the blues season, since then hes been pretty mediocre. Allen on the blues wasnt any better, he is what he is, a league average back up. Being on a better team wont change that fact. He was the same on a strong Blues team and Blueline as the Habs,

2. Boston and montreal don’t trade with each other.

The Girard trade is insulting. He is so much better then Armia and Allen. I don't think that the Oilers give up Yamamoto. Even if they get Carey Price in return. Also, your not getting a first with DeBrusk
