Philly should do better at the trade deadline.

I can't imagine Philly saying yes to this deal. 2 cap dumps, a late first, a late 2nd, one complete bust, a potential middle 6 forward (if DeBrusk can get right) is not enough for a face of the franchise like Giroux (at 50% retained no less) and a solid RD.

Giroux has repeatedly said he won’t waive his NMC no matter what the situation in Philly is.

Giroux rejects before Philly laughs and hangs up. Even the guy who traded a first and second for Risto declines this.

Zero reason for PHI to do this deal.

Another Bruins ACGM with a pile of "stuff" for quality pieces. Only thing of value is the 1st. The rest is a deterrent.

This is true, although there's been a ton of speculation that if Philly is completely out of the race by the deadline he may wish to be shipped to a team he deems as being a top contender (which even then, I don't think this offer lands him, and quite frankly I don't consider the Bruins a top contender. I could only see the Avs, Oilers, Panthers meeting the criteria for G tbh)
