2nd line centres that are good in the playoffs and under 30 do not come available often

Playoff sample size is small and if that matters then DeBrusk playoff history isn't terrible either. I just don't understand why Bo is in trade talks to begin with and why the Nucks don't want to keep him

It’s that his deal is up in 2 years and if the Canucks are rebuilding he can bring back much needed draft picks and prospects for the defence that are urgently needed after JB traded a lot of draft picks away

So its a draft pick play? I mean they have some solid assets on their team with Hughes, Elias, Boeser, Garland etc. not sure a tear down and re-build is what is needed with some of those pieces.

yeah but JB left a horrible defence and a bare prospect pool after trading draft picks away to bury his mistakes and then forcing out executives that are key in the draft and front office duties where JB's draft history has been spotty since Brackett left

You are way overblowing Jim Benning's mistakes. Yeah, the defense is mediocre at best, but there ARE indeed credible prospects in the pipeline even if only one or two of them or really high end, and we don't know exactly the context of some of those executives like Linden and Brackett, but yeah, it was ultimately unfortunate to see both of them leave when they did
