The Capitals are #1 in shooting %. Bruins are 32nd. Caps have also created a higher quality and quantity of chances but have been luckier and Bruins, less+unlucky. Hall has been great but he or his teammates haven't been able to finish yet. You need the whole context. That's why you shouldn't only use points to evaluate players.

Always makes me smile when people use the term “lucky” … if I was more lucky I would have made the NHL. Hall has great Cf% ff% xgf% but he’s paid to produce and he hasn’t.

Oh we knew it was an issue. There was not another distributing center on the roster after Bergy. They added depth centers but not distributors. Then again there weren’t any out there really. Trading him for another wing while not addressing the real issue is pointless. What they need to do is resolve the Debrusk situation and then go get someone to plug into C2 even if it’s not a stud and move Coyle to RW2. They need someone in between Hall and Coyle to set them up.

That makes more sense. They desperately need a reliable 2c

That's what is called being unlucky. Anything can happen in the NHL and the last team in the league can shutout the #1 team in a game.

If you look at the past 10 years, Most teams are below 10% and only TOR is above what WSH is doing right now and that was a 48-game season.
21-22: WSH 10.59% (26 games)
20-21: MIN 10.38% (Shortened season)
19-20: TBL 9.71% (Shortened)
18-19: WSH 10.09%
17-18: TBL 9.36%
16-17: MIN 9.20%
15-16: NYR 9.01%
14-15: TBL 9.10%
13-14: ANA 9.79%
12-13: TOR 10.67% (Shortened)
11-12: TBL 9.67%
10-11: PHI 8.74%

It's not impossible but unlikely. We'll see. Also, about the "if I was more lucky I would have made the NHL". Maybe but you need both luck and skill for that.

I got neither. Most importantly I’m lazy. Lol. Unlucky just feels better

Ok, so if the Bruins decided to sell off parts and start over I think they’d be looking younger - can’t see McMichael being moved but maybe something around LaPierre?

In their current state a trade doesn’t make much sense. Mantha and Eller are not really upgrades - we can go into the numbers this year, etc. but you are the one that wanted to trade for Hall, if he’s “not that good” then why trade for him? Yes, Hall hasn’t quite found his footing and the numbers show - but I don’t think Mantha would be a world beater either playing with Haula and Coyle.

Hall is maybe slightly better than Mantha but he's older and makes more money... hardly worth a GTFO lol. This year alone he has what 11p in 21gp? 37% of his points are on the PP? yeah that dude is amazing

the fact you are basing your entire argument on strictly this one year is hilarious. Hall's talent is significantly higher than mantha's. Higher ceiling, higher floor.
Over entire career: Hall .86 ppg mantha .64 ppg. not to mention mantha is ridiculously injury prone. hes played through a ton of injuries with detroit and is injured again with washington. Ide rather have hall by a rather large margin. It isnt even close. FWIW ide rather have vrana over mantha.
