That is one sexy right defensive side.

I don't know if i'd give Goligoski or Trocheck so much money (or term for Trocheck), but otherwise I like the free agent signings.

I'm excited to see what Berggren can do in the NHL.

Hi

Hello

Quoting: NoVaSpartan
That is one sexy right defensive side.

I don't know if i'd give Goligoski or Trocheck so much money (or term for Trocheck), but otherwise I like the free agent signings.

I'm excited to see what Berggren can do in the NHL.

I overpaid a little bit to comfortably hit the cap floor (both Goligoski and Trocheck will probably demand quite a bit anyway). I gave Trocheck 5 years, but that's definitely the max I'd give him. The contract ends in his age 33 season, and he should still serve as a reliable 3rd line center by then even if aging takes its toll, like Jordan Staal back in Carolina.

Berggren is exciting, and Edvinsson is as well. Replacing Leddy and DeKeyser with Goligoski and Edvinsson would be a great boost to that left side, and with that right side looking as good as it has, I could see the defense taking another step.

Also, in case you're wondering why Fabbri is on IR, I'm just preemptively placing him there in preparation for another injury on the team that extends past the start of the season.

It's more likely that Albert Johansson makes the team next year than Simon Edvinsson. Albert is a lot more mature in his play and he plays PK which Simon doesn't do at all. Simon is a fantastic talent but he needs time in the AHL a lot more than Albert does.
