More of an "if they scouted better in the draft", but still a good "what if" roster

Its not luck, thats the only thing NYR does have. Rangers just have no idea how to develop forward prospects

I think rangers has already be lucky enough...

2019-20 season : rangers are 11th in OA standings, they win Lafreniere lottery.
2018-19 season : rangers are 26th in OA standings, they gain 4 spot at lottery to draft 2nd pick Kakko

The unlucky part is neither of them were centers. All they got was wingers that don’t score.

Well we'll see how Byfield does. That will likely provide the answer

Yes. I think Zegras and Seider go first and second overall if the 2019 draft were redone today.

(Then Kakko, Knight, Byram, Dach to round out top-6)

NYR has had plenty of luck at the draft they just can't spot talent!!!!!!!!!!! It's been over 30 years since Detroit has had a top 3 pick!

Wtf? I know Hughes has been a little disappointing, but he'd still go in the top 5 of a redraft easily. Not to mention that he's only been getting better since his rookie season, and with his potential, the sky's the limit.

    i find these rather pointless.
if Detroit had the 1st pick in that draft they take Laf, not Raymond.
if Anaheim had the 2nd pick in that draft they take Kakko, not Zegras.
how do you know Svechkov is going to be any better or worse than Othmann?

sure, hindsight is nice, but this could be done for every team drafting in front of the next.
