Nylander is one of the best players on the team and is being underpaid. The conversation starts with either Batherson or Brown with an extension, but then more will probably have to be added.

Brown with a 4 year extension, multiple picks from rounds 1-3 , maybe a decent rookie/prospect, could work out well for both teams

no it wouldnt. Brown is almost 28 and already paid more than he should be, he's never had more than 43 points in his career and is already past age peak. His next contract will be even more inflated. He is not the center piece in any Nylander trade.

I would hope both these trades wouldn't happen

I love Konecny buit Pinto is a KEEPER. Sucks that he got injured because that wouldn't be a discussion already. And Ottawa should NOT trade any 1st round pick, it's too early

Pinto will be needed more than Konecny

This would be a huge mistake for Ottawa too

I'd really like to have Nylander of course (no to Ritchie though)

But

Ridly Greig is going to be quite the player.

Like I said, Ottawa should NOT trade any 1st round pick

Formenton with this elite speed will be an elite 3rd liner

two 2nd round picks too, and a 3rd

3 firsts, 2 seconds, 1 third. Way too heavy price to pay. I'd rather they go after a real need (RD or C) if they pay a Eichel's value+ package

Dear God. That's the thing with posting on these forums, takes too much time to argue on all these takes as the "knowledge level" is pretty low in general

Not only you have no idea about Brown's value to a hockey team, but you probably have no idea how a market works as well.

oh good, this ol chesnut. You wanna talk value and the market? How about we think about the leafs here. You know, the one trading for Brown. How about his value to them, and the market for Nylander? Oh? what's that? you didnt? Yeah, i didnt think so. The trade makes no sense for the leafs because Nylander is significantly more valuable to them than Brown could ever hope to be and a 1st rounder 2 years from now doesnt change that.
But then i guess you'd have to understand Nylander's value to a hockey team and how the market works as well.

lol what the hell are you talking about?

you are talking about stuff that I didn't even quote Help

Anyway, anyone with half a brain could detect right away that discussing with you is quite useless.

So I'll pass.

Ottawa will not be handing out 1st round picks to anybody.

It will only create another "Matt Duchene situation".

Both of these trades are wild.

I'm not sure 2.5 years of Nylander is what you sell the farm for. Greig has the 3rd highest ppg in the WHL. Forms is always dangerous. Watson/Brown probably dont carry a ton of value but Ottawa did pay 2 4th's. Then you have a late 2nd & early 3rd this year, a high 2nd next year and likely a still decent 1st in 2024. It's not a ton of high quality but it's a lot of separate pieces. Don't think Toronto accepts but that's probably for the better.

Love Konecny, still wish Ottawa wouldve taken him instead of White (especially when he played so long in Ottawa with the 67's) but I don't think Pinto gets moved at all. After the Duchene fiasco I don't think that 2023 1st gets moved at all either. The last thing they need is another top 4 pick being handed over. Not sure how Philly fans would feel about the deal but I would hope Ottawa wouldnt touch that.
